Fairmount is located west of Philadelphia's N Broad Street and east of the Schuylkill River. This stunning community is best known for its convenient location outside of the Greater Philadelphia area’s metropolitan hustle and bustle and its world-class museums. Fairmount’s rich history as a popular tourist destination dates back to 1928, when the infamous Philadelphia Museum of Art was fully completed. Greek Revival, Federal, and Georgian constitute the predominant architectural styles in Fairmount. The neighborhood features a well-designed layout of row houses and city streets.
